Feeling adventurous, searching for something very special? Tired of classic 4-wall hotels. Boring spaces? Das Park Hotel, located just steps away from Austrian city of Linz, is everything but boring- it is constructed from repurposed, incredibly robust drain pipes. The external simplicity lies in a contrary of an unexpectedly comfortable interior- double bed, storage area, lighting, wool blanket and a light cotton sleeping bag. All the other facilities such as toilets, showers, minibar or cafe can be found at a public space that surrounds the pipes. Guests can enjoy sleeping in this unique place from may until mid-october. Every single pipe is a private „suite“ with safe, where the electronics and luggage can be stored. Pipes are equipped with double beds and eurofoam matresses and warm blankets for colder summer nights as well. You are welcome to use electric plugs to charge a phone or computer.
Das Park obtains sanitation, breakfast and other necessities from existing public infrastructure, that`s why the user-friendly „pay as you wish“ system is used. It means that a night in Das Park Hotel costs just as much as you can afford or want to pay.
